Secretary

Job Description

  • Attend all WACAC Board meetings
  • Take meeting minutes

Helpful Skills

  • Good listening skills
  • Note taking skills

Time Commitment

  • Board meetings happen quarterly for the most part
  • Driving to board meetings and the meetings itself
  • Some "clean-up" of notes after each meeting

Executive Assistant

Job Description

  • Provide assistance and support to the President, past President, and President-elect.  
  • Update the website (familiarity with HTML coding is not needed)
  • Monitor and answer the WACAC email account
  • Provide technology support to other committees
  • Create and maintain event registrations
  • Attend all WACAC Board meetings
  • Maintain the technology component of membership dues (renewal and new members)

Helpful Skills

  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Familiarity with basic technology (Wild Apricot is our web system; Google is our email client)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized
  • Willingness to work with various other committees

Time Commitment

  • 10-15 hours/week
  • Busy Times
    • Late Summer: during the renewal process
    • Spring: there are a large number of events happening
