IDEA Scholarship

The Inclusion, Equity, and Access Committee manages the IDEA Scholarship.


Purpose

WACAC will provide scholarships to first generation, low-income students who are pursuing higher education in Wisconsin, regardless of citizenship status.  Scholarship recipients will receive a one-time award of $500 to be used towards higher education expenses during the 2020-2021 school year.

To be considered for the scholarship, students must:

Students should submit the online application form below, with a copy of the activities list/resume, and essay response attached.  Counselors should submit the online verification form with transcripts attached.  Forms and supplemental materials must be submitted by March 15, 2020 to be considered for the scholarships.  

Required Materials

  • Completed Application
  • Activities List/Resume (uploaded to Application)
  • 300-600 Word Essay (uploaded to Application
    • Essay Question: Describe the most challenging obstacle you have had to overcome and discuss its impact.  How you have learned from your experience?
  • Counselor Verification Form
  • Official High School Transcripts (Uploaded to the Counselor Verification Form)


Donate to the IDEA Scholarship

WACAC accepts donations from individuals and organizations to help fund the IDEA Scholarship.
